Shawna Huffman has worked for Local 555 for six
years. She transferred from Local 1439 in
Spokane, Washington. Shawna worked for Local
1439 for the most part of High School. After
graduating Bozeman where she
studied Wildlife Biology, working for Local 1439
during the Holiday and Summer Breaks. After a
year and a half she returned to Local 1439 full
time until October 1999 when she transferred to
Local 555. She started off by working in the
Membership Records Department then moved on to
the Grievance Department and is now the
Membership Records Supervisor as well as the
Grievance Secretary. Shawna grew up in a big
Union family; her father is a Union member, Shop
Steward and an Executive Board member in
Spokane, Washington. Shawna’s pass time is
spent with her husband raising their two little
girls and enjoying spending time with her family
here in Portland and in Spokane.
