 Jeff Anderson started his career, age 14, at Woody’s Market in his hometown of Dallas under the 1973 Oregon Bottle Bill. He worked at Fred Meyers and served as a Shop Steward. In 1986, was hired as an Organizer and later served as a Union Representative in Salem, Bend, and Portland. Jeff has worked in all facets of Labor Relations including Collective Bargaining and Grievances. In 1994, Jeff earned the Oregon AFL-CIO endorsement as Candidate for U.S. Congress in the 5th District; a seat he did not win. In 1997, Governor John Kitzhaber, appointed Jeff to the Oregon Wage & Hour Commission. Jeff has served on the Salem Electric Cooperative Board for 20 years and as President. Jeff was also a founding member of the Oregon Health Action Campaign and served on the United Way Board.
